Hello, my name is Fran. I am 24 years old and I guess you can say have had many paranormal experiences growing up. My parent’s house has seen it’s fair share of paranormal activity and now it seems my grandparent’s house has become somewhat active in their recent passing.
The earliest experience I can remember was sitting in the backyard with my two older sisters under an old peach tree. My oldest sister got up for some reason and told me and my other sister to do the same. Just as we walked inside, we heard a terrible crash and found out that the peach tree had fallen right where we were sitting. It freaked out my dad because he knew if we had remained there, we would all have been seriously hurt.
On some nights when I was little, I would hear hushed whispers. Like two people were where talking to each other right in the same room as me. I knew it wasn’t my sister because she slept in the room next to me. My dad worked the graveyard shift and my mom was always asleep till he came home. I could never make out the words.
Perhaps the freakiest experience my family had was when all the paper rolls in the house unrolled by themselves. We were all sitting down for dinner. Across from me, was my dad, my sister to the right, and my other sister to the left. My mom had just served us and was walking back into the kitchen to get her plate when she stopped suddenly. My dad noticed something was off and got up to see what it was. My mom was shocked to see the paper towels unrolling by themselves. My dad stood there a moment and called us to come to kitchen. We all got up to see what was going on. Sure enough, the towels were unrolling faster and faster as if by an unseen hand. As we all watched this, my dad had realized he had to go to work and went into the bathroom to shave and shower. It was also discovered that the toilet paper in our two bathrooms had also unrolled. And at the time we didn’t own any cats or dogs. Just two parakeets that we kept in a cage in the living room.
The activity at my parent’s house was sporadic throughout the years. Occasionally I’d see a shadow dart across the living room or my dad would say he felt like something was watching him when he was in the computer room. One night while I was walking down the hallway to go into the bathroom I noticed something standing in my bedroom doorway. It looked to be about 5 or 6 feet tall, hunched over, and black… though I could still see the white wall behind it. Its face was actually white. I couldn’t make out any features though. Startled, I called for my mom… who was in the porch washing clothes. It scared me because I had never experienced anything like it.
The three more recent experiences I’ve had happened after deaths of family members. On the day my grandpa died, me and my dad were leaving to go to my grandparent’s house to visit. I was walking behind my dad making sure the lights in the bathroom were off when he let out a shout. I turned around and could barely make out a figure standing by my sister’s bed. It had walked through the wall as if it wasn’t there. It startled my dad greatly. I still think it was my grandpa telling us a quick goodbye.
My boyfriend (now husband) lost his grandma last year. I had the opportunity to meet her before she had passed. She really liked me and I grew attached to her as well. After her funeral, I was home with my cat. She likes to cuddle with me when I sleep so I let her under my covers. Then I saw from what I could describe as a blue-ish white mist moving from the wall to my computer. It startled me… I wasn’t scared just caught off guard.
On the night my grandma died, I was looking through old photos of her and my grandpa at their house. I was holding a picture of them on their 25th wedding anniversary. It seemed so fitting that I find it as she drew her last breath. As the night progressed and we waited for the coroner to pick up her body, family members came by to visit and see her. We maybe had 10 or so people in the house at a time but I felt like there was more… like 30 or 40 people. There was so much energy in the house it was actually stifling.

I tend to over-analyze activity and try to come up with ways to debunk evidence. I don’t believe in psychics who say they can talk to the dead but I’m open to the ability to pick up on certain feelings (being Empathic). I’m a Catholic but I’m not too overly religious. I am fascinated by the angel and demon hierarchy, but I don’t feel comfortable around certain aspects of the occult… mostly because the energy that gets released from that is usually by kids who think it’s cool to summon demons. I’m also open to dimensional rifts and faeries.
